rownum in SQL Server

Oracle has a handy little automatic column called rownum, especially nice when auto-generating IDs (but be careful!!)

In SQL Server you do this:

SELECT rownum = ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY t.[ID] ASC)
 ,t.*
 FROM [Table] t
